August Social Calendar
Harpers Mill’s variety of events and clubs are designed to bring neighbors together. Hundreds of Harpers Mill neighbors have already become friends they now consider family. Many of those friendships started off by meeting at social events and clubs at the central gathering place, Club Park. August 2nd – Zumba Fitness: Join your neighbor Amy Rudd, Zumba instructor, at the clubhouse on the first three Thursday’s of every month from 6pm-7pm for only $7.00.
August 3rd – First Fridays: Get together at the Harpers Mill clubhouse on the First Friday of every month from 7pm-9pm for happy hour and fun with your neighbors! This group is for adults only so it is perfect for empty nesters, couples without children, or parents who just want some “me time” with their fellow neighbors! August 5th – Harpers Mill Summer Vendorfest: Come out to The Harpers Mill Summer Vendorfest on August 5th at the clubhouse to shop with some of Harpers Mill’s small business owners such as Julep Belle, Stella & Dot, Matilda Jane, Perfectly Posh, Color Street, and Young Living!
August 6th – Tutoring with Kristen Thomas: Did you know that children can lose up to 4 MONTHS of academic progress during the summer? Harpers Mill resident, Kristen Thomas, can help! Kristen is offering 3 summer reading sessions for Harpers Mill and friends *Grades rising K – rising 6th grade*.
August 7th – National Night Out: There will be a bounce house, Granny’s Ice Cream and Grilled Meats and Treats food truck at the clubhouse. A BIG shout out to Titan, Auto & Tire for sponsoring this event and providing us with the bounce house, water bottles, and two raffle giveaway’s for gift bags with oil change/tire rotation gift certificates. Have a wonderful evening meeting your first responders, Scruff McGruff, and having a fun filled evening with your family and fellow neighbors!
August 8th – Free Craft Night: Hosted by your neighbor, Kate McCullough. Join your neighbors for our free craft night and complete this framed monogram with vintage postage stamps! The class is free with a suggested donation of $5 to cover the cost of materials. Kate will bring everything needed to walk away with this finished project. BYOB ❤️ Snacks and meet new friends! August 9th – Kenbrook Meet and Greet: Join Jessie May with Eagle Construction at the Harpers Mill Club House for a Kenbrook Meet and Greet on August 9th! Enjoy conversation, catered food, and refreshments with current and prospective Kenbrook home buyers. The event will take place from 5:00p – 7:00p at 8600 Pullman Lane, Chesterfield, VA 23832.
